    Dial-a-Cab has become the first company in the world to develop 'real time' booking for taxis on the internet. Bringing the 300 year old taxi industry right up to date. Corporate customers can book journeys from their PCs and check the status of their cab as it nears for pick-up.

    The development took a world-wide search for expertise, over six months to design and a considerable investment to develop. It has secured Dial-a-Cab (and the UK) a place in history beating America and the rest of the world as the first place where taxis can be booked on the internet.

It increases our capacity to take journeys and offers a faster service as the booking goes straight into the system bypassing the telephone. This complements our Call Centre operation enabling our clients who still wish to book by phone to get through to an operator more quickly.

    In addition to the above we are also delighted to announce the introduction of yet another unique service, which is a facility for our clients to extract billing, invoicing and management information, realtime via the Internet.

    In future any client wishing to check the billing details of their taxi usage or extract management information, for example by employee name, trips to the Airport, destination or trip value etc. They will be able to do so simply by entering their name and password and having the entire file at their disposal.
